Job Summary

This position will oversee and manage Quality, Food Safety, and Sanitation programs and activities to ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, government regulations, and industry best practices, including GMP and HACCP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of product quality and safety.
  • Food Safety: Manage and maintain a robust food safety program, including HACCP, to protect the business and its customers.
  • Sanitation: Oversee and ensure that all facilities and equipment are properly sanitized and maintained to prevent contamination.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that products meet company standards and regulations.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of quality assurance professionals to ensure that all quality and safety standards are met.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to ensure that all team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including management, production operators, and suppliers.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve quality and safety issues in a timely and effective manner.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as quality management, food science, or engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Certifications: HACCP and PCQI certification strongly preferred.
