Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Great Plains Health. As a Clinic Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a positive experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care
    • Ensure quality patient care and adhere to provider preferences for their patients.
    • Explain procedures, treatments, and reinforce provider recommendations to patients using the AIDET process.
  • Medication Management
    • Provide prescribed sample medications in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
    • Administer injections/immunizations as prescribed by providers.
  • Documentation and Communication
    • Use EHR to record visit, medication(s), and entry of patient information such as vital signs, ROS, medication lists, family and social history accurately.
    • Communicate clinical data test/procedure results accurately to the healthcare team.
  • Office Procedures
    • Assist with office procedures as requested by physician.
    • Administer IV/medications/treatments/procedures as prescribed by physician under scope of practice.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Credentials
    • Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
    • BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
  • Physical Demands
    • Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently.
    • Possess physical agility and adequate reaction time to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected patient care needs.
    • Needs adequate hearing and visual acuity, including adequate color vision.
    • Requires fine motor skills, adequate eye-hand coordination, and ability to grasp and handle objects.
    • Able to use proper body mechanics to assist patients in ambulating, transferring in and out of bed, chair or wheelchair.
    • May be required to lift up to 75 pounds.
    • Must use standard precautions due to threat of exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
    • Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone.
    • May require periodic use of personal computer.
