Bed Coordinator

Responsibilities:
* Assist with bed placement in collaboration with Nursing House Supervisor, Nursing Directors, Case Managers and Charge Nurses.
* Assign patient beds as available and communicate assignments to Charge Nurse of appropriate Nursing Unit.
* Keep abreast of available beds within the facility at all times.
Requirements:
* Graduate of a Program in Discipline - Required
* Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days
* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - to be obtained within 6 months
* Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - to be obtained within 6 months
* TNCC - to be obtained within 6 months
* Current WV nursing license
* Minimum of 2 years experience
* Familiar with Hospital Admitting Department and processes
* Ability to work with ancillary hospital staff
* Must possess knowledge of medical terminology and have demonstrated good Customer Service
* Must have an understanding of Hospital Compliance Policies and Governmental Regulations
* Demonstrates knowledge of isolation procedures and appropriate placement of patients under isolation
* Ability to deal with stressful situations involving public, hospital personnel, and all internal and external customers
