RF Test Technician

We are seeking a skilled RF Test Technician to join our team at Comtech Telecommunications Corp. The ideal candidate will have experience in precision soldering, microstrip stub tuning, and troubleshooting down to the component level using schematics and discrete test equipment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing manual testing using DMM, RF power meter, oscilloscope, frequency generators, spectrum analyzers, etc. and operating automated test stations to evaluate product performance.
The RF Test Technician will also be responsible for providing technical status of product performance, evaluating automated test results, troubleshooting test equipment and test stations, and performing mechanical assembly and minor disassembly of product during troubleshooting process.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of RF Microwave Technology and be able to work within established safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting down to the component level using schematics and discrete test equipment
- Performing manual testing using DMM, RF power meter, oscilloscope, frequency generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.
- Operating automated test stations and evaluating product performance
- Providing technical status of product performance, evaluating automated test results, troubleshooting test equipment and test stations
- Mechanical assembly and minor disassembly of product during troubleshooting process
Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Work within established safety and quality standards
- Associates Degree in Electronic, Technical School, Associated Military Equivalent, or previous work experience
- Read and comprehend schematic drawings, Engineering Change Orders (ECO), Test Procedures, and rework documents
- Basic math skill and computer skills to include MSWord and Excel
- Good knowledge of RF Microwave Technology
- Willingness to work outside normal working hours
Work Environment:
The work environment is moderate with occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds or more.
