Position Summary:

The Nuclear Shift Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the operations of our nuclear facilities. This position involves directing reactor operators and Nuclear Equipment Operators to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Authorize and oversee maintenance and testing activities to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Implement Emergency Operating Procedures and guide necessary actions to stabilize the plant during emergencies or abnormal situations.
  • Assess and address issues, findings, and requests from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage special projects as assigned by the Operations Director or Operations Managers.
  • Develop, review, and update Emergency Operating Procedures and Abnormal Operating Procedures to ensure safe and cost-effective operations.
  • Review design and licensing changes for procedural impacts and conduct necessary evaluations.
  • Availability for off-hours, weekend, and shift work is required.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in Nuclear or Commercial Power Plant operations.
  • Ability to qualify for and obtain an SRO license for Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) or Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) operations.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a nuclear environment.
  • Qualified or capable of becoming qualified as a Safety Evaluation preparer/reviewer/approver.
  • Must maintain Nuclear unescorted site access.

Desired:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with Navy Nuclear EWS, EOOW, PPS, or RO Qualification.
