Job Summary:

The Hotline Advocate provides critical support and assistance to victims of interpersonal violence, including domestic violence, human trafficking, and child abuse. This role requires a strong understanding of trauma-informed care and the ability to provide empathetic and non-judgmental support to individuals in crisis. The Hotline Advocate will respond to calls, texts, and in-person requests for support, providing information, referrals, and safety planning as needed. This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week, with a salary of $43,000 for bilingual candidates and $38,000 for non-bilingual candidates. Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to hotline calls, texts, and in-person requests for support
  • Provide information, referrals, and safety planning to individuals in crisis
  • Develop and implement safety plans for individuals and families
  • Screen and connect domestic violence victims to housing resources
  • Provide outreach and support to victims of domestic violence and human trafficking
  • Document and maintain accurate records of client interactions
  • Participate in individual and group supervision, as well as department and agency meetings
  • Attend training courses and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related field
  • Experience in the field of interpersonal violence and trauma
  • Ability to communicate fluently in Spanish, both written and orally
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
