Position Overview
As a Financial Processing Associate, you will be responsible for managing billing and invoicing operations within our organization. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of disbursement processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize automated accounting and billing systems to analyze and process invoices for payment, ensuring adherence to optimal payment terms.
  • Identify and electronically route invoices, addressing any discrepancies or issues promptly.
  • Verify invoice accuracy based on Purchase Order (PO) terms and conditions, rejecting any incorrectly billed invoices.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve billing issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company’s operations, policies, and payment processes to manage automated payment systems effectively.
  • Assist in training and guiding less experienced team members and vendors regarding billing inquiries and reconciliation.
  • Maintain and update information in relevant systems that interface with SAP for vendor payments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and organizational goals.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of automated accounting systems and related policies.
  • Strong ability to learn about the organization’s structure and payment processes.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage high volumes of work efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Experience and Education
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and business mathematics.
  • A degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance is preferred; however, equivalent experience may be considered.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

Preferred Background
Experience in the utilities or finance sectors, particularly in large-scale projects, is advantageous.

Interview Process
The interview process may include video or phone interviews, and candidates should be prepared for occasional overtime as required by the role.
