Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves a variety of responsibilities focused on the upkeep and repair of telecommunication infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts maintenance and repairs on copper cabling in various environments, including underground and aerial settings.
  • Diagnoses and resolves issues requiring copper repair, maintenance, and fault detection.
  • Performs splicing of existing facilities in diverse work locations.
  • Utilizes hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment, such as multi-meters and volt-ohm meters, for both indoor and outdoor tasks.
  • Tests and activates subscriber lines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Identifies and rectifies issues with aerial and underground cabling.
  • Installs, maintains, and tests telecommunication services for residential and small business clients.
  • Connects and disconnects wires and cables to various hardware and structures.
  • Conducts continuity and conformance testing to verify system integrity.
  • Interprets technical documents, including service orders, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Receives and executes service orders and repair tickets as directed.
  • Handles color-coded telecom wiring and cabling.
  • Engages with customers in a professional manner, both over the phone and in person.
  • Collaborates effectively with team members while also being capable of working independently in the field.
