About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Conservation Specialist to join our team at Sustainable Surf. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for managing our social media presence, increasing followers and engagement, and creating compelling content that aligns with our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Content Creation and Management:
    • Develop, curate, and schedule engaging content across all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok) for both @sea.trees and @sustainsurf.
    • Create visually appealing graphics, videos, and other multimedia content that aligns with the brand and mission of both SeaTrees and the Ecoboard Project.
    • Write compelling captions, posts, and stories in the brand voice that resonates with our audience and inspires action.
  2. Community Engagement:
    • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
    • Identify and cultivate relationships with key influencers and advocates to amplify SeaTrees' reach and impact.
  3. Brand Ambassadors:
    • Manage and coordinate SeaTrees' brand ambassador program, including recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing communication.
  4. Event Management:
    • Assist in planning, promoting, and executing virtual and in-person events.
  5. Strategy and Analysis:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to grow the online presence and support fundraising and awareness campaigns for our two programs.

Estimated Salary: $32-$35 per hour.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for environmental conservation, surfing, and experience in social media strategy and community management. This is a full-time position based in Southern California.
