Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide advanced operational support for IT systems, including all current approved Red Hat and Windows operating systems in both physical and virtual environments.
  2. Implement, configure, and enhance various IT systems such as legacy applications, enterprise solutions, and collaborative platforms.
  3. Evaluate and assess computing resource needs for ongoing and future initiatives.
  4. Deliver Tier 3 IT support, resolving help desk tickets while adhering to service level agreements.
  5. Manage configuration control, testing, deployment, and maintenance of approved software, including applying necessary updates and patches.
  6. Follow established change management and engineering review protocols.
  7. Request, install, and monitor the expiration of necessary IT system certificates.
  8. Collaborate with Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams for all system and software modifications affecting end-user support.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve workstation and server-related issues.
  10. Provide documentation and updates for CMMI Level 3 Management Plans.
  11. Ensure system security configurations align with guidelines from relevant authorities.
  12. Administer organizational units in Active Directory and manage user access through group policies.
  13. Support database troubleshooting and problem resolution for production environments.
  14. Create and maintain Group Policy Objects.
  15. Initiate system interfaces as required during maintenance periods.
  16. Document escalated tickets in the tracking system.
  17. Coordinate with both government and contractor personnel on system redesigns and changes.
  18. Monitor system logs and automated alerts for outages and incidents.
  19. Initiate incident response protocols and implement corrective measures.
  20. Support backup and restoration services as needed.
  21. Implement security enhancements in compliance with organizational standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate Degree
  • Certifications: CND or GICSP
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a related field
  • Clearance: Must be a US Citizen with an Active Secret clearance
