We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician to drive continuous improvement, increase product performance, and enhance manufacturing productivity at Tesla.

  • Collaborate with engineers to develop, test, and validate new manufacturing processes and equipment to ensure efficient production of high-quality products.
  • Install, qualify, and validate new equipment to meet quality and manufacturing standards.
  • Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to boost productivity, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
  • Create and maintain accurate process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and process flow diagrams.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues, collect and analyze data, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Train and support manufacturing staff on new processes and equipment.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as an engineering technician in an automated/semi-automated high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in common workplace software (Microsoft Office, Visio, Access, etc.) and utilizing SQL queries to access the database and pull reports.
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in a technical field, such as Mechanical Engineering or a related field, preferred; or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal, with ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies a plus.

Expected Compensation:

  • Engineering Tech II - $36.72/hour.
  • Engineering Tech III - $42.84/hour.
  • Engineering Tech IV - $47.94/hour.
+ cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
