EEG Technologist Per Diem Specialist

This is a per diem EEG technologist position at the University of California's main lab. It is expected that the individual be capable of performing routine, continuous and ICU EEG setup, with minimal supervision. The technologist should maintain knowledge of principles of electricity, electronics, neuroanatomy, neurophysiology and neurological diseases. The basic rudiments of EEG acquisition should be second nature. Artifact detection/elimination skills should be adequate. The technologist should be flexible to cover mainly nights and weekends shift/on call duty and volunteer to help out in times of need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine, continuous and ICU EEG setup with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain knowledge of principles of electricity, electronics, neuroanatomy, neurophysiology and neurological diseases.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in EEG acquisition and artifact detection/elimination.
  • Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and be available for on-call duty.

Requirements:

  • ABRET certified R.EEG T.
  • Current CPR Certification.

Salary Range: $28.61 Hourly
