Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at Miccosukee Resort & Gaming. As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and research daily revenues and expenses collected from the gaming floor and other revenue-generating departments.
  • Ensure the integrity of financial information collected to process daily financial reports.
  • Enter financial data from system reports, gaming floor, and other source documents to generate daily management reports.
  • Resolve discrepancies to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reports.
  • Notify and follow up discrepancies with other departments to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain and file system reports and related documents in an organized and workable manner.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

The Casino & Resort will function seven days a week, 24 hours a day. You must be willing and available to fulfill these demands.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required to walk, stand, and sit. The associate will occasionally be required to climb and use balance. Additionally, the team member will frequently be asked to use hands and arms, carry and lift items. Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include close vision and distance vision.
