Position Overview

Avolinq, LLC is in search of a Senior Operations and Maintenance Engineer to provide essential support in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee system performance and health, addressing any technical issues that arise.
  • Maintain and manage storage solutions, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Provide after-hours support on a rotational basis, guaranteeing system reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols and requirements.
  • Create and manage system scripts to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct system updates and patches as necessary.
  • Administer user accounts and access controls.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing both on-premises and cloud-based systems, particularly in AWS.
  • Expertise in overseeing large-scale clusters (greater than 400 nodes) and applications, whether containerized or not.
  • Experience in the design, implementation, and support of complex multi-platform networks, particularly those involving Linux-based systems.
  • Strong command of Linux command line operations.
  • Ability to obtain Security+CE certification prior to commencement.
  • Possession of TS/SCI CI Poly clearance and the ability to complete necessary onboarding procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical knowledge of distributed storage networks and application messaging frameworks.
  • Understanding of analytical requirements, query syntax, and data flow management.
  • Experience with tools such as Splunk Dashboards, NiFi, HA Proxy, Docker, Kubernetes, and ElasticSearch/OpenSearch.
  • Familiarity with Certification & Accreditation processes.

Educational Background

A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
