Position Overview: Area Supervisor (District Manager)
Compensation: $60,000 - $85,000 annually
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Area Supervisor (District Manager) to oversee multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
The Area Supervisor plays a crucial role in achieving restaurant objectives by leading a team of General Managers across 3-5 locations. This position involves guiding General Managers in setting operational targets, monitoring their progress, and providing the necessary coaching to enhance restaurant performance. The Area Supervisor is also responsible for the recruitment and development of General Managers, Department Managers, and Shift Managers to ensure a strong leadership pipeline for the future.
To excel in this role, an Area Supervisor should be able to:
- Recognize critical business challenges within individual restaurants that impact performance, influence strategic decisions, align resources, take prompt action, and hold team members accountable.
- Foster exceptional reliability, product quality, and financial success across restaurants to promote consistent sales growth.
- Engage actively in supporting and coaching General Managers and other management staff on a daily basis.
Focus Areas Include:
- Setting and reviewing specific guest satisfaction performance targets for each location.
- Enhancing sales and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Upholding company standards in food safety, product quality, and facility maintenance.
- Allocating budgets effectively to address priority needs.
- Promoting new products and initiatives.
- Recruiting, training, and motivating General Managers and other management staff.
- Ensuring compliance with national brand promotions.
- Conducting regular visits to restaurants during all shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Performing monthly cash and security audits.
- Leading meetings with General Managers.
- Ensuring adherence to Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC) standards.
- Meeting or exceeding operational goals related to Labor, Sales, Profit, Food Cost, etc.
- Ensuring compliance with all operational and company policies.
- Overseeing successful outcomes of both announced and unannounced audits.
- Guaranteeing compliance with Health Department and food safety audits.
- Developing management staff to achieve peak performance.
- Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Executing operational plans effectively.
- Optimizing restaurant operations for efficiency.
- Analyzing operational reports and creating action plans for underperforming areas.
- Following up daily on action plans to ensure progress.
- Demonstrating strong multitasking and time management skills.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the Director of Operations and Owner.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of Hamburger University or equivalent training.
- Experience as a General Manager, Area Supervisor, District Manager, or Multi-Unit Operations Manager in a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) for a minimum of 2 years.
- Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain management and crew staff.
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to influence and build trust.
- Comprehensive understanding of restaurant operations.
- Demonstrated ability to drive results through effective coaching and adherence to brand standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong follow-up capabilities.
- Friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Problem-solving aptitude.
- Ability to work in various environments, including sitting, standing, and traveling for extended periods.
