Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute significantly to the university's undergraduate and/or graduate programs through teaching, scholarship, and service.
- Teach an equivalent of twenty-four teaching load credits (TLC) for the combined fall and spring semesters.
- Engage in research, scholarly, and creative activities that align with the university's mission and goals.
- Provide services to the university and the profession, including participating in departmental and university-wide committees.
- Conduct supplemental instructional activities, such as advising students and mentoring junior faculty members.
Required Qualifications:
- Terminal degree in a relevant field, such as sound recording technology or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge in the relevant field, with a strong understanding of sound recording technology principles and practices.
- Effective teaching abilities for undergraduate and/or graduate students, with a commitment to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Commitment to research, scholarly, and creative activities that advance the field of sound recording technology.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and effectiveness in working with students, with a strong commitment to student success.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related field, such as sound recording technology or a related field.
- Professional/industry experience in sound recording technology, with a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
- Teaching experience in relevant subjects, with a strong commitment to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Proficiency in digital audio workstations, with a strong understanding of audio editing software and hardware.
- Experience in live sound reinforcement, with a strong understanding of sound system design and operation.
Salary Information: $65,000
