Job Summary

Scott County Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team in the Specialty Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including vital signs, weights, and other relevant measurements.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies, to inform treatment decisions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as an LPN or RN in the state of employment.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a specialty clinic or similar environment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
