Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at the Defense Health Agency Civilian Corps in Falls Church, VA. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and promoting oral health and wellness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive oral prophylaxis procedures, including deep scaling, root planing, and sub-gingival curettage.
  • Conduct preliminary dental examinations and interpret routine x-rays to identify tooth structures, calculus, and abnormalities.
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene, brushing, and flossing techniques, as well as periodontal care.
  • Make repairs and adjustments to teeth, including smoothing rough edges, removing overhanging margins, and inserting temporary fillings.
Requirements
  • Must be currently licensed to practice as a dental hygienist in a State or territory of the United States or the District of Columbia.
  • Must have radiology certification, as required by Public Law 97-35.
  • Must have at least one year of experience in performing prophylactic dental procedures, completing oral examinations, and interpreting routine x-rays.
