Job Summary:

To perform maintenance and testing on T56/501 customer engines, the successful candidate will be responsible for installation and removal of the engine from the test stand, operating the engine test cell to complete final testing of the engine, and assisting the Test Stand Supervisor in the testing procedure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain test stand equipment and tooling in a serviceable working condition
  • Ensure periodic checks and calibrations are made on special tools and test equipment and current records are maintained
  • Proper handling of all engines and parts while in the Test Facility
  • Maintain the premises of the Test Facility in a clean and orderly manner
  • Complete paperwork and stamps off relative operations
  • Use forklift to move engine and modules
  • Travel as required
  • Attend all safety and health training, as required, in a timely manner
  • Work when scheduled and comply with company attendance policy
  • Work overtime as needed
  • Observe and practice all safety procedures and personal policies

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years mechanical experience including troubleshooting aircraft, automotive, and/or industrial engines and equipment
  • Ability to provide verifications of US citizenship or permanent residency to satisfy ITAR/EAR restrictions
  • Must be able to obtain needed information and data from FAR's, bulletins, and maintenance manuals to perform assigned maintenance functions
  • Must be familiar with the engine components inspection techniques and tools used to complete the inspection process
  • Must be knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring instruments including calipers micrometers, hard gauges, dial bore gauges, and other surface plate equipment
  • Must be able to work with little or no supervision and to take initiative
  • Must be able to effectively read, write and communicate in English
  • Must be proficient in company specific software and Microsoft Office Word and Excel
