Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Works Heavy Equipment Specialist to join our team at the City of Southlake, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment in the maintenance, repair, replacement, and development of our streets and drainage systems, water distribution, and sewer collection systems.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintaining and operating heavy equipment such as tractor backhoes, crane hoists, motor graders, gradall, crack sealers, tractors for mowing, gas and electrical metal welders, hydraulic sewer main cleaners, and other equipment and machinery.
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities.
  • Providing interdepartmental service and assistance with maintenance duties, including repairing streets, parks, lift stations, and working special events.
