Job Overview

The Community Engagement Specialist will play a vital role in implementing and coordinating activities that cater to the diverse needs of community residents. This position requires an individual who can effectively plan, execute, and promote engaging programs that foster a sense of community and social connection.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Director of Life Enrichment to develop and execute a comprehensive activities calendar, ensuring a well-rounded and inclusive program for residents.
  • Assist with planning and coordination of community events, workshops, and outings, promoting resident participation and independence.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation, activity planning, and supplies/equipment management.
  • Ensure the success of the community's Parallel Programming schedule by working closely with staff and residents.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with residents, family members, and staff, upholding the Resident's Rights to Privacy.
  • May be required to safely transport residents to and from activities, adhering to company safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in life enrichment, recreation therapy, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of creating and implementing successful activities programs, demonstrating excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Physical stamina to perform duties that may require standing, walking, and lifting (up to 25 lbs).
