Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Veterinarian to join our Community Medicine team in Los Angeles. As a Veterinarian, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to animals in underserved communities, working closely with our team to deliver essential services and support the welfare of animals and their people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide preventive and basic care to patients in underserved areas of Los Angeles, overseeing all aspects of veterinary care during a clinic day.
  • Perform pre-surgery physical examinations on all surgical candidates and diagnose and treat post-surgical medical complications.
  • Perform high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgical procedures and provide a safe and compassionate environment for animals in our care.
  • Communicate with clients in a non-judgmental, effective, and professional manner, discussing physical examination and test results to allow pet owners to make informed decisions about their pet's care.
  • Provide discharge instructions for patients and oversee the dispensing of medications.
Requirements
  • Current California State Veterinary License.
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent Veterinarian License.
  • Experience in general small animal practice or shelter medicine required for PPC shifts.
  • Experience in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter required for surgery shifts.
What We Offer
  • $1,000 (8-hour shift).
  • Regular part-time schedules or relief/fill-in available weekdays (Monday through Friday) 8-4 (HQHVSN) or 9-5 (PPC).
