Job Summary

**Oversee Maintenance Operations**

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of our maintenance department, production lines, and affiliated equipment, building, and grounds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and Schedule Workforce: Efficiently plan and schedule the workforce to meet production demands.
  • Monitor Downtime: Monitor downtime occurrences to maintain consistent operations and minimize production losses.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Monitor the efficiencies of production lines, paying special attention to maintenance and mechanical trends.
  • Employee Development: Train, motivate, and direct employees to adhere to safe work methods and standard procedures to ensure efficient utilization of employees.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Promote teamwork to achieve company goals and objectives and maintain a cooperative working relationship with USDA officials.
  • Cost Control: Control labor costs, purchase supplies and repair parts with regard to quality, and monitor departmental overtime.
  • Equipment Safety: Monitor machinery and equipment to ensure safety of employees and enforce the plant's safety program, compliance to all OSHA safety regulations and standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Seek continuous improvement in the Maintenance Department employees and the efficiencies of the production lines.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required, Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Mechanical engineering or other technical degree program preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of previous maintenance experience preferred, previous supervisory experience required.
  • Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, schematics, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to calculate figures and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
