Job Title: Operations Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Support Specialist to join our team at Conagra Brands in Darien, WI. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for reviewing invoices, receiving paperwork, and inventory transactions for accuracy. You will also provide backup and perform duties for procurement, scheduling, inventory control, and supply room associates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review daily inventory and exception reports to support procurement department.
  • Write purchase requisitions and purchase orders for goods and services.
  • Evaluate purchase requests for accuracy and other information.
  • Coordinate with procurement and maintenance departments on purchasing activities to maintain inventory.
  • Provide feedback to requesting departments regarding purchase order status.
  • Assure orders are processed against the appropriate chart of accounts.
  • Receive and examine incoming stock for discrepancies/damage and work with vendors to resolve.
  • Conduct cycle counts of supply room inventory and participates in yearly inventory counts.
  • Work with and supports plant and corporate personnel, including procurement, scheduling, logistics, supply room, inventory control, finance, and operations.
  • Participate in cost reduction projects.
  • Process required paperwork.
  • Help train associates.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; further education preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years relevant experience.
  • Be Independent.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage priorities and multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP preferred.
  • Intermediate math skills.
