Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inpatient Physician Assistant to join our team at Bozeman Health. As an integral part of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with indirect supervision.

About the Role: This position requires hands-on experience in orthopedic trauma, splinting, and casting, as well as collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care delivery. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, including those requiring urgent orthopedic procedures, fracture management, and joint dislocations. A strong background in both inpatient and emergency settings is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality patient care, consultation, and advisement while following standard of care within specialty scope of practice.
  • Direct patient care by examining, diagnosing, and analyzing patients' current health conditions, performing comprehensive admission history and physical exams, consultative notes, admission and discharge summaries, progress notes, writing orders and prescriptions, and performing or assisting with procedures.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nursing, case management, therapy, wound care, and other providers to ensure coordinated care delivery.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree of Physician Assistant Studies.
  • Board certification as Physician Assistant.
  • Montana Licensure (Physician Assistant).
  • DEA License if applicable to practice area.
  • American Heart Association BLS.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in orthopedic inpatient hospital care is preferred.

Working Conditions:

This role requires regular and sustained attendance, with potential for working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts. On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs. The position also involves frequent exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, and infectious diseases due to contact with patients in areas that may have contagious illnesses.

Salary Estimate: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
