We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Dancing Bear Residences. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our residences, common areas, and back-of-house facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to Maintenance Requests: Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner, both written and verbal.
- Maintain Ongoing Projects List: Maintain and frequently update an Ongoing Projects List to ensure all maintenance activities are properly documented.
- Residence and Common Area Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance of all DBA residences and common areas, including inspections and maintenance of residences prior to member arrivals.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Properly maintain all DBA vehicles, including periodic safety and maintenance checks.
- System Inspections: Establish, maintain, and record daily/weekly/monthly inspections for various systems, including boiler room, HVAC air handlers/chillers, fire alarm system, elevator equipment, irrigation, room keys, snow melt, and designated restaurant equipment.
- Professional Appearance: Maintain a professional appearance with appropriate uniform and nametag.
- Communication: Check out and carry a two-way radio and keep the front desk apprised of your location.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform preventative residences and common area maintenance as needed, both during season and off-season.
- Common Area Inspections: Perform regular common area inspections to police for garbage and issues that may pose a hazard to guests, employees, or visitors.
- Spa Maintenance: Maintain appropriate levels of chemicals and temperature in spas.
- Common Area Tours: Perform regular common area tours to police and/or fire department for issues related to the safety and well-being of our members, employees, and visitors.
- Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance: Perform landscaping and grounds maintenance of street-level and rooftop lounge as needed, including snow removal.
- Safety and Emergency Response: Observe all safety rules and procedures in compliance with OSHA safety requirements and respond to after-hours emergencies as required.
- Supervision: Supervise co-workers in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Assistance: Assist Bell staff with luggage transport and airport transfer as needed.
- Snow Removal: Perform snow removal as needed.
- Housekeeping Assistance: Assist Housekeeping department with specific tasks as needed.
- Vacuum Inspection and Repair: Perform regular vacuum inspection and repairs.
- Tool and Supply Security: Ensure security of tools, supplies, and Dancing Bear property.
- Inventory Management: Maintain a supply of parts and equipment for frequently repaired or replaced items.
- Supply Chain Management: Maintain an inventory list of supplies needed during periodic trips to hardware suppliers to reduce trips in the downtown core.
- Club Policies and Procedures: Be familiar with club policies and member interest information.
- Parking and Driving Regulations: Be familiar with parking and driving regulations in town and at the airport.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with all departments and with the front desk when on call.
- Other Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Physical Demands: Heavy lifting associated with furniture and luggage moving.
- Driving: Driving the hotel vehicles in varying weather conditions, including snow, ice, and rain.
- Mobility: Mobility around the hotel, town, and to the airport.
- Outdoor Work: Outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including rain and snow.
- Experience: Previous maintenance and/or building experience, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, general carpentry, and landscaping.
- Communication: Must be capable of communicating, verbally and written in English with members, guests, and co-workers.
- Physical Condition: Strong back and physical condition, able to work with hands, and able to lift up to 50 lbs. safely on a regular basis.
- Driver's License: Must possess a valid Colorado driver's license.
- CPO License: CPO license required (must obtain within the first six months of employment if not already licensed).
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritize, be organized, and pay attention to detail.
- Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work well with others, communicate effectively, and maintain a cheerful, cooperative attitude.
- Emergency Response: Ability to remain calm and productive in emergency situations.
