We are seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer to join our team at Konecranes. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and consistent work orders to our factory production team.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the technical representative for factory production orders, utilizing your product knowledge and comprehension of technical features to create production orders.
- Collaborate with engineering personnel to improve super BOM tools and variant configuration processes.
- Maintain a tracking system for open orders to ensure timely delivery of work orders between Engineering and Production departments.
- Interface with suppliers and vendors to clarify drawing and customer requirements.
- Identify and request engineering data to support order activity.
- Perform processing activities in accordance with existing procedures, management direction, and work instructions.
- Evaluate existing procedures for potential streamlining of process activities and waste reduction.
- Support Purchasing in a technical capacity when dealing with vendors.
- Utilize industry software, including SAP, E3 series, and Vertex, to perform day-to-day processes.
- Must be able to read, understand, and compose electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Must be able to make independent as well as collaborative decisions to accommodate accurate estimates for internal and external processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a team player.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail is a must.
- Well-developed PC skills and experience in mechanical and electrical drawings using CAD software is required.
- Must have good knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering discipline.
- Associate's degree in engineering is required.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in mechanical or electrical, application, or sales engineering in an industrial environment.
