Position Overview:

General Dynamics is seeking a dedicated Intelligence Security Specialist to support our Intelligence Division in Herndon, VA. The selected candidate will be instrumental in executing a variety of personnel and physical security functions. Are you equipped to thrive in a complex, fast-paced, and demanding environment? HOW AN INTELLIGENCE SECURITY SPECIALIST WILL CONTRIBUTE:
  • Execute a range of physical security duties to support the facility security operations, including assisting personnel with acquiring ID badges, identification cards, and access rights.
  • Facilitate team efficiency through effective management of all security-related activities.
  • Maintain records and manage access for personnel and visitors to restricted areas and materials. Provide security guidance and support to colleagues across the organization.
  • Utilize security databases to document actions and ensure data accuracy.
  • Advise and assist with the physical security needs of secure facilities.
  • Collaborate closely with the Facility Security Officer on security-related issues.
  • Oversee certain onsite physical security measures, including but not limited to access control systems, processing and maintaining badges for personnel, and implementing facility upgrades as necessary.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: High School diploma required
Experience: 6+ years of security officer experience
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Access Control Database, familiarity with CCURE 9000 (Access Control Software), NBIS, Microsoft Office, Defense Information System for Security (DISS), and Security Information Management System (SIMS) database software.

Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret required to start with a willingness to undergo POLY.
Required Skills and Abilities: Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment: Onsite
