Job Title: Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Job Summary:
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for providing patient services using diagnostic ultrasound equipment.

The ideal candidate will be competent in the production and analysis of ultrasound images used by physicians for patient diagnosis and treatment.

In addition, the individual must be prepared to render quality patient care by exercising discretion and judgement in the performance of sonographic services.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and sends specimens to labs in the absence of the secretary.
  • Prepares exam rooms before patient enters and cleans room following patient's exit.
  • Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures by assisting them onto the table and instructing them in the procedure that is being performed.
  • Selects and records appropriate images for the permanent record.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of accredited school of sonography.
  • Certified by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Registry eligible.
