Job Summary:

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at RWJBarnabas Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care using diagnostic C.T. equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to assess doctor's orders, obtain patient history information, and communicate exam information to patients. You will also be responsible for following protocols, regulations, and policies set by physicians, administration, and state. Additionally, you will use universal precautions in patient care, stock, clean, and maintain a professional environment in the C.T. department.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology
Certifications and Licenses: Licensed by State DEP, Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologies, Trained and certified in CT preferred, willing to train radiologic technologist, BLS Certification Required (American Heart Association Only)

Scheduling Requirements:
Days

Essential Functions:
Keep abreast of evolving technologies in CT
Obtain 12 CME credits per year pertaining to CT/X-ray and provide a copy of the credits to the supervisor
Perform IV access and de-access protocols, including I-Stat testing
