Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Airport Customer Service Agent to join our team at GAT Airline Ground Support. As a key member of our airport operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to passengers, ensuring a smooth and efficient airport experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and Assist Customers: Provide prompt, friendly, and courteous service to all customers, both in person and over the phone.
  • Flight Announcements: Announce both incoming and outbound flights to ensure passengers are aware of their flight status.
  • Transaction Processing: Handle credit card and personal check transactions with accuracy and process checked baggage weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Jetway Operations: Operate jetways to place them in position prior to aircraft arrival and lift, open, close, and secure aircraft doors.
  • Computer Systems: Use airline computer systems to provide flight arrival and departure information, ticketing and flight boarding documents, lost or damaged baggage documentation, and cargo tracking information.
  • Physical Demands: Stand and work in one location for up to four hours at a time and occasionally lift bags or items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
  • Escort Services: Escort unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport.
Requirements:
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience, and a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Language: Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Communication: Possess good communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality in person and via telephone.
  • Computer Skills: Possess entry-level computer skills.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to stand for long periods of time and occasionally lift bags or items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
  • Background Check: Pass an extensive post-offer pre-employment background check, including fingerprinting and a criminal history record check required by federal law.
  • Availability: Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
