Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Program Manager in overseeing and facilitating case activities of UMOS and affiliated agencies' Transform Milwaukee personnel concerning program eligibility, placement, reporting obligations, and overall program objectives.
  • Synchronize program initiatives with other Job Center services to guarantee maximum efficiency and adherence to relevant program policies and procedures.
  • Offer technical guidance to subcontractors regarding effective employer engagement strategies and program accountability measures.
  • Conduct regular on-site evaluations of worksites to ensure compliance with TMJ DCF and UMOS Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor participant activities to ensure alignment with program policy standards.
  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with current and prospective employers that may serve as TMJ worksites.
  • Assist host worksites in formulating suitable job descriptions, maintain a comprehensive database of SJ slots and descriptions, and communicate relevant information to Job Coaches and subcontracted agencies' Transform Milwaukee personnel.
  • Aid in identifying and developing TMJ host worksites, ensuring they are safe, beneficial, and provide opportunities for Transform Milwaukee subsidized workers (SW) to acquire skills that align with their career aspirations.
  • Facilitate the establishment of SJ worksite agreements with each host worksite, clearly delineating obligations to ensure SJ slots do not displace regular employees and that grievance procedures are in place for addressing complaints.
  • Act as a liaison between host worksites and UMOS to address any customer service and SJ retention issues.
  • Collaborate with UMOS and subcontractor Transform Milwaukee personnel to ensure timely and accurate collection and recording of payroll information.
  • Participate in meetings, conferences, and workshops as assigned, and undertake special projects and other related duties as necessary.

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) supplemented by 2 years of post-secondary education, preferably in human/social services or a related field.
  • Five years of work experience in one or a combination of the following: job development, staffing, customer service, or workforce development.

Additional years of post-secondary education in a relevant field can be substituted for one year of experience. * Must possess strong written and oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to meet project performance goals. * Must demonstrate awareness, knowledge, and sensitivity to the socioeconomic and cultural diversity of the target populations served. * Ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment and respond to customer needs with respect and diplomacy.

* Demonstrated working knowledge of and experience using computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.; CARES experience preferred.

* Must have reliable transportation; possess a valid Wisconsin driver's license and adequate auto liability insurance and be able to travel and work irregular hours.
