As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a crucial role in the care we provide to our residents at Plymouth Place Senior Living. Whether in Assisted Living, Health Care Center, or Memory Care, our CNAs deliver both professional and personal care in collaboration with nursing and ancillary staff. Job Responsibilities:

Within a restorative framework, you will provide essential nursing and personal care for residents, assisting with hygiene, mobility, toileting, eating, and recreational activities. Your role will also involve maintaining a clean, safe, and homelike atmosphere while respecting each resident's individuality.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Welcoming new residents and families, addressing immediate needs, and introducing them to the community.
  • Assessing resident needs and delivering necessary nursing care according to care plans.
  • Addressing resident, family, or physician concerns and escalating issues as needed.
  • Respecting advance directives and providing emotional and spiritual support to residents and families.
  • Responding to emergencies in accordance with nursing standards and protocols.
  • Participating in performance improvement activities within the department.
  • Ensuring continuity of care through effective communication with fellow CNAs.
  • Providing direct physical care to residents who require assistance.
  • Monitoring residents and reporting any changes in condition to licensed nursing staff.
  • Assisting with admissions by preparing rooms and introducing new residents to activities.
  • Responding promptly to call lights and communicating any delays to residents.
  • Transporting residents to appointments and assisting with activities.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of charting systems (Point Click Care).
  • Familiarity with patient care practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Successful completion of a State-approved CNA course and competency testing.
  • Experience with geriatric populations is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of CNA experience is desired.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic math skills and ability to use medical measuring devices.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
