Job Summary:
Textron Aviation is seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to join our team at a Service Center. As an Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for performing functional testing, troubleshooting, and repairing avionics systems on board aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform functional testing to isolate customer complaints in avionics systems and repair those systems in accordance with FAA procedures.
- Diagnose problems and take corrective action based on in-flight analysis and customer feedback.
- Troubleshoot problems to defective units or wiring discrepancies.
- Replace defective units, repair wiring, and modify aircraft as required.
- Accompany pilots in flight to functional test repaired systems and/or aligned systems.
- Work from aircraft orders, wiring diagrams, oral and written instructions to perform job duties.
Requirements:
- High School education or equivalent required; college or technical school and/or military electronic schools preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in aircraft avionics system troubleshooting and repair.
- Airframe and Power Plant Certification preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security badge through the local airport authority, if applicable.
