Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, External Quality and Safety Programs and Reporting to join our Quality and Safety team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the strategic direction and leadership of external quality and safety programs, including the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR) and the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT).
  • Provide leadership and oversight for the development and implementation of standards, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate external program quality management initiatives and serve as liaison with outside agencies and contracted payers.
  • Collect and analyze performance data required for external stakeholder submissions and ensure accurate, complete, and timely submissions.
  • Lead the identification of trends, benchmark performance against national standards, and report outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership for the External Quality and Safety Program and Reporting team members, including recruitment, training, and overall management.
Requirements
  • RN (NY) License or other clinical experience.
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Nursing Administration, Healthcare, or relevant area with more than 10 years of experience in a complex clinical environment.
  • 5 years of management experience required; 3 years of progressive and results-oriented experience in Quality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven track record of excellent application of improvement and patient safety science.
  • Working knowledge of applicable safety rules and regulations.
  • Experience in treating patients undergoing BMT.
  • Expertise in high-reliability principles and concepts.
  • Ability to explain complex clinical issues to non-clinical staff.
