The Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute, part of Penn Medicine Lancaster General, offers a state-of-the-art setting for cancer care, including surgical, medical, and radiation oncology services.

Job Description

This full-time position involves providing high-quality, patient-centered breast surgery care at Penn Medicine Lancaster General's Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute and the facilities of Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with a team of specialists, including surgeons, advanced practice providers, navigators, genetic counselors, lymphedema therapists, social workers, chaplains, behavioral health specialists, and financial counselors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform breast surgeries with precision and expertise
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary breast tumor board to develop effective treatment plans
  • Participate in educational activities, including teaching and research opportunities
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must:

  • Hold an MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Have completed a residency program in general surgery
  • Be fellowship-trained in breast surgical oncology or surgical oncology
  • Be board-certified or eligible in general surgery
  • Have expertise in managing and treating benign and malignant breast disease
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $325,000-$425,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
