Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and manage treatment plans for patients undergoing cardiothoracic procedures.
- Participate in daily rounds in the ICU and on the surgical floor, ensuring comprehensive patient evaluations and effective communication with the healthcare team.
- Demonstrate professionalism and integrity while functioning in high-pressure situations, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance clinical skills and maintain relevant certifications.
- Assist in surgical procedures, including conduit harvesting and first assisting in complex cardiac and thoracic surgeries.
- Provide patient education and support, addressing inquiries and promoting health maintenance.
Work Schedule:
This position requires 12-hour shifts, with a variable schedule. Call responsibilities are shared among team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in cardiothoracic surgery is advantageous, though newly licensed candidates with relevant clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
- National certification as an Advanced Practice Provider is required, along with appropriate state licensure.
Essential Skills:
- Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Competence in advanced assessment and diagnostic techniques.
