Urology Advanced Practice Provider

Indiana University Health is in search of an Advanced Practice Provider to enhance our Urology department.
Position Overview:
- Part-Time role, 0.6 FTE
- Scheduled Fridays from 6am to 4:40pm or 6am to 6:30pm
- Friday coverage is mandatory, with potential for Saturday shifts or a couple of half days during the week.
- Focus on inpatient care
- Manage a patient load of approximately 40 per week
- Care for adult patients recovering from urologic surgeries, as well as those needing emergency or inpatient consultations.
- Collaborate with a team of 25 physicians and 20 Advanced Practice Providers.
- Involvement in procedures such as complex catheter placements, drain removals, and possible cystoscopy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the recovery of both minor and major surgical urology patients.
- Engage in the admission process for primary urology patients and consultations from emergency services and other inpatient departments.
- Address acute care needs during weekday shifts and facilitate care transitions to the on-call team in the evenings.
- Adhere to established guidelines and surveillance protocols.
- Provide guidance on chronic urologic condition management, discuss surgical options, and manage postoperative care.
- Ensure timely documentation and participate in practice initiatives while pursuing specialty-specific educational opportunities.
Qualifications:
- ACNP, AGNP, CNS, FNP, or PA board eligible or certified.
- Prior experience as an Advanced Practice Provider is mandatory.
- Experience in urology or inpatient medicine is preferred.
