Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled RMF Security Specialist to support our Privacy and Civil Liberties Program. The ideal candidate will have experience with the Risk Management Framework process and a strong understanding of Privacy protection concepts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support a Privacy and Civil Liberties Program by providing a disciplined and structured process that integrates information security and risk management activities into the system development life cycle.
  • Assist Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) and Information System Security Engineers (ISSEs) in conducting annual continuous monitoring reviews of Privacy Controls according to NIST Appendix J.
  • Work with ISSOs, ISSEs, and Designated Authorizing Official (DAO) representatives to apply and implement Privacy Overlay controls.
  • Conduct research and investigate Personal Identifiable Information (PII) breaches to protect data and information under the Privacy Act.
  • Review and apply System of Records (SORNs) for Privacy Impact Assessments.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting a Federal Privacy Program.
  • Experience with the Risk Management Framework process.
  • Knowledge of the Privacy Act and Privacy Laws and Policies.
  • Knowledge of SORNs.
  • Knowledge of FISMA and NIST.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • HS diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ServiceNow (SNOW).
  • Ability to research, analyze, and communicate privacy matters with senior leadership.
  • Ability to process and resolve Privacy breaches and complaints.
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possession of excellent organizational skills.
  • IAPP CIPP or CIPT Certification.
Clearance
