Fifth Third Bank is seeking a skilled Mortgage Loan Originator to join our team. As a key member of our mortgage lending team, you will be responsible for originating residential 1st mortgage loans for outside referrals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral contacts, including realtors, builders, and other professionals.
  • Stay up-to-date on Fifth Third Mortgage Company's policies and procedures, as well as available loan products and processing procedures.
  • Collect and review loan applications, ensuring timely delivery of loan packages to management.
  • Manage loan pipelines through closing, completing required management reports and communicating with branches and applicants.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; four-year college degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines, residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a competitive environment, with a strong desire to succeed.
