Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Strategist to join our team at Sound Physicians. In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading financial reporting and analytics functions across four service lines: Accountable Care Organization, Telemedicine, Advisory Services, and Value-Based Care.

About the Position

This is a virtual, work-from-home opportunity with occasional travel required for national meetings (no more than 2 times a year). As a key member of our finance team, you will collaborate with business leadership and other centralized functions to build and manage infrastructure necessary for the success of our business lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Support service line budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes.
    • Partner with stakeholders to develop an understanding of business unit risks and opportunities, incorporating assumptions into financial forecasts.
    • Coordinate with Sound finance to ensure alignment with company timelines and processes.
    • Develop communication and presentation materials with Sound executives.
  • Decision Support:
    • Operate and update decision support tools using relevant data and key assumptions from business leaders and colleagues.
    • Conduct financial impact analysis to support decisions and measure results.
    • Model vendor deals and support development of such agreements with Finance Director and VP of finance.
  • Performance Management:
    • Develop supporting financial reports for service line leadership.
    • Create reports and documentation on service line financial performance.
    • Collaborate with operational teams to formulate, refine, and operationalize strategies to achieve financial goals.
    • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financials with centralized finance teams.
Requirements and Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or Finance (preferred).

    • Highly organized and able to lead large projects and processes.
    • Strong financial modeling, Excel, and presentation skills.
  • Experience:
    • Finance or financial reporting experience.
    • Experience in risk-based or value-based care environment (health plan or risk-bearing entity and medical group operations) is a plus.
What We Offer

As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for growth and professional development.
