Job Summary

The Project Manager plays a critical role in overseeing projects and ensuring their successful execution. This individual will be responsible for developing and managing project timelines, coordinating with subcontractors, and overseeing project budgets through cost monitoring and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Results Matter: Planning and coordinating field operations and administrative work across multiple projects while continuously seeking to improve our value proposition.
  2. Respect and Engage: Communicating frequently and professionally with the General Manager, Construction Manager, superintendents, foreman, suppliers, and customers regarding job cost analysts and job progress.
  3. Protect Family and Friends: Maintaining a Safety Culture that fosters a zero-incident environment for people to come to work every day and perform their best.
  4. Humility: Fostering teamwork and a "one-company" sense of purpose for the team under your management.
  5. Innovation: Remaining open to new ways of doing things and prioritizing the ability to drive profit and consistently build better than bid.
  6. Measurement: Developing a standard operating procedure to enable performance and growth with key responsibilities such as driving a consistent 2-week lookahead schedule process.
  7. Visit Sites: Inspecting projects before bids and during construction.
  8. Mastery: Understanding regional market dynamics and assisting in the execution of tactics to enhance performance.
  9. Dedication: Utilizing job cost reports to monitor job financials closely and swiftly identifying any gains or losses on a project-specific basis.
Requirements, Education, and Experience

5+ years of relevant construction experience, 4-year degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred, strong understanding of milling, reclamation, paving, and chip seal operations, strong knowledge of mathematics, estimating, bidding, production and processing knowledge of raw materials, processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

This role requires frequent traveling in the field and various construction sites. The ability to sit at a desk, frequent walking, bend or stand as necessary, heavy work that includes moving objects up to 50 lb. or more, and working on or near moving mechanical parts and loud equipment.
