Position Overview

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator in Maternal Fetal Medicine is tasked with orchestrating patient care and offering educational support to both clinical staff and the community. This position emphasizes the enhancement of patient treatment outcomes and the assurance of timely service delivery. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator is instrumental in patient navigation and strives to remove obstacles to care.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver consistent care coordination for patients
  • Perform timely nurse triage and provide educational materials
  • Facilitate physician recommendations and ensure patient adherence
  • Instruct clinical staff on high-risk pregnancy and potential complications
  • Document patient navigation progress and satisfaction
  • Remove barriers to care and enhance access to services
  • Guarantee quality of care and patient safety
  • Serve as a public educator and advocate for women's health
  • Foster relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and community resources
  • Evaluate program structure, processes, and outcomes
  • Engage in research and maintain knowledge about women's health
  • Assess program financial viability and implement necessary adjustments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse license in Florida
  • 2+ years of experience in obstetrics or patient education
  • Understanding of teaching-learning theories
  • Basic Life Support certification required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
