About the Role

The University of California, Irvine seeks a highly skilled Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a registered nurse with advanced knowledge and clinical expertise in neonatal intensive care nursing, you will assess the needs of patients and family units within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and assist in the planning, execution, and evaluation of nursing care.

Key Responsibilities

Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
Collaborate with healthcare teams to design, implement, and measure safe, cost-effective, evidence-based care strategies
Provide expert guidance and consultation to nursing staff on neonatal care best practices
Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in neonatal care

Requirements

Current California RN license
Minimum of five years acute hospital experience in NICU
Master's degree in Nursing with Clinical Nurse Specialty
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
