The ideal candidate will be passionate about Neurodiverse learners, able to project manage and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, build and iterate upon systems that help build student culture, and create and execute a vision based on the needs of the school.
We're looking for experienced Special Education Teachers who have driven results with students with learning, mental, emotional, and physical differences. They must adopt Gradient Learning curriculum techniques to teach students who are neurodiverse thinkers.
The job involves working 1-1, in small groups, and in general classroom settings to support students with disabilities, co-teaching English and/or math courses to provide minutes required by IEPs, communicating with parents about student needs and Kairos' adjustments, and helping Kairos stay in compliance with all special education laws and regulations.
This role requires a strong understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities, as well as the ability to devise strategies for reinforcing materials or skills initially introduced by the teacher.
Additionally, you'll guide independent study, enrichment work, and intervention work set up and assigned by the teacher, provide escort and assistance to children as necessary throughout various school and community settings, and check students' work, correct papers, and supervise testing and make-up work, assigned by the teacher.
In exchange for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary range of $48,000 annually based on experience, which includes dental insurance, health insurance, paid time off, vision insurance, wellness reimbursement, professional development opportunities, certification reimbursement, and school tuition assistance.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree Required
- Masters degree Preferred
- Missouri Substitute Certification Required
- Valid Missouri Teacher Certification content specific to role applied for, Strongly Preferred or willingness to become certified ASAP
- 3+ years of teaching experience Preferred
