About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team at Supernal. As a key member of our cloud infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and administering cloud-based solutions in Azure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, and security. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for cloud-based projects and collaborate with consultants and vendors on projects and/or for additional support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain complex Azure-based infrastructure and solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for cloud-based projects
  • Manage and optimize our data analytics infrastructure (Databricks and Snowflake), including monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining high availability
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure as code templates for deploying Azure resources
  • Assist with escalated support related to our Azure environment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure-based infrastructure and applications
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in collaboration with our security team
  • Manage and monitor Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and network components
  • Routinely review and suggest improvements to our Azure environment
  • Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
  • Act as a mentor to other cloud engineers and provide technical guidance and support

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management and engineering, with a focus on Azure
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools, such as Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, and Jenkins
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience managing Databricks and Snowflake infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and load balancing
  • Experience with PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages
  • Microsoft Azure certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, are preferred

What We Offer:

Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of total compensation. The pay range for this position is $180,100—$218,300 USD.
