The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct care and supervision to residents in a manner that promotes their safety and comfort.
This role involves providing personal assistance and supervision to residents during activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing non-routine housekeeping tasks, making beds, and assisting residents with eating and mobility.
They will also be responsible for providing basic first aid, trimming nails, and collecting urine or fecal specimens as needed.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and be certified as a nursing assistant in good standing with the state of NC.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct personal assistance and supervision to residents during ADLs
- Perform non-routine housekeeping tasks
- Make beds
- Assist residents with eating and mobility
- Provide basic first aid
- Trim nails
- Collect urine or fecal specimens
- Take vital signs
- Assist with range of motion exercises
- Empties and records drainage of catheter bag
- Recognize and report any changes in resident behavior
