Job Summary

Thom Child and Family Services is seeking a highly skilled Music Therapist to join their team in providing early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music therapy and experience working with young children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide music therapy services to children from birth to three years old with developmental delays.
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
  • Assess and document client progress, identifying areas of strength and need.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments and contribute to the development of Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs).
  • Provide supportive professional assistance to families, facilitating parent-child interactions and promoting child development.

Requirements:

  • Board certification as a Registered Music Therapist (RMT) or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with children, parents, and community partners.
  • Commitment to delivering individualized and culturally humble services.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
