Under the supervision of the Director of Maintenance and Operations and school principal, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the school facilities. This includes:

  • Grounds Keeping: Mowing grass, pruning shrubs and trees, edging, and controlling weeds.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and washing floors; vacuuming carpet; dusting and polishing furniture and woodwork; emptying and cleaning waste receptacles; cleaning restrooms; washing windows and walls; polishing metal work.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Taking care of equipment, materials, and supplies; unloading and inventorying supplies; cleaning kitchens and cafeteria equipment; making minor non-technical repairs.
  • Event Support: Moving and arranging furniture and equipment; setting up auditoriums and classrooms for special events or meetings.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Replacing lights, adjusting shades, blinds, and drapes; adjusting desks and other furniture; cleaning venetian blinds; picking up paper and other refuse on grounds and sweeping walks and entrances.

Requirements / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with prior experience in facilities maintenance or a related field preferred.
