About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Sales Associate Cashier to join our team at Hannaford Supermarkets. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Operate a cash register, handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions, as well as processing returns and exchanges.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, and break room.
  • Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise, as well as maintaining accurate inventory levels.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and operate a cash register.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous retail or customer service experience.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
